You probably know that there are many supposedly natural remedies for ITP Blood Disorder? There are relaxation techniques, homeopathic remedies, stuffing yourself with blueberries, blood well, blah blah blah. You probably already know about these treatments. And I suspect that you or some loved one who suffers from Thrombocytopenia Purpura who has used some of these remedies.
Well if you keep on reading, you’ll find the answer to why these supposedly natural remedies don’t work for everybody. So follow me in the analysis of this serious problem. And I say serious because ITP Blood Disorder is a serious condition that many times requires the removal of the spleen and strong toxic medicines such as Prednisone, Danazole and others that I prefer not to mention.
There is a problem when you follow a certain remedy without really knowing if that remedy is beneficial for you specifically. ITP has multiple factors as its cause. So the remedy is going to be effective in your case if it attacks the cause in your specific situation.
I’ll give you a simple example. One of the remedies being promoted for ITP Blood disorder is vitamin D. Many who suffer from this low platelet count condition are taking large doses of this vitamin. The reason for this is because it has been proven that vitamin D can regulate the immune system. So it is good for autoimmune condition such as ITP.
The problem is that this remedy will most likely only help those who are deficient in the vitamin. In other words, one of the reasons why they developed ITP was because they didn’t have enough vitamin D in the body. And a result, this predisposed them to ITP.
So, will vitamin D help if you are not deficient in the vitamin? Probably not. The other problem would be toxicity by taking vitamin D when not needed.
You see what I mean? This remedy may in fact help if you a blood test showed that you were deficient. Otherwise, it probably will make you sick.
So before you try any remedy for ITP blood disorder, the best thing is to make sure this remedy is for you. And there are ways of determining this. But that would be another article.
