They did it again

I went to Bible Study tonight and I met the lady Toby, and three of the regular girls. They were talking about something godly and I started crying and I said that I don’t know nothing about the bible which I did before I had the stroke. I don’t know the versus and the numbers and they said that I did. I said no I don’t and they said when someone was talking about something I jumped in and I said something on whatever it was they were talking about. I said no I only said at that time, what was in my heart. It happen to fit the conversation. And then Toby suggested I needed prayer again. We gathered in a circle and she said something to God.

I think I’m getting comfortable with the girls from my Bible Study. They let me cry and don’t say anything. They let me recover from my crying on my own. Thats nice.

I was in the hospital!

Wednesday morning 9/29/10, I took my husband to work and when I

came back home, I was still feeling tired. I tested my sugar that morning

and it was 120. So I figured it would be alright for me to go sleep for a

couple of hours so I went to sleep and woke up about 10:00 or 10:30

that morning and I went to the kitchen to make me some juice and as I

was trying to open it to start making the juice I felt lightheaded and I fell

out. I knew I could not stay on the floor because I didn’t want no

grasshoppers or roaches or anything else crawling on me so I got up. I

don’t know how I did it but I got up off that floor. I went and got into

the bed and I must have passed out. My husband found me on the bed

and called the ambulance. I did not know anything until 11:00 or 12:00

that night that’s when I came too. Thats when it began, the medicine,

blood pressure, blood work, food, sugar shot, it just goes on and on.

Well, I was on my way back from recovery. At first the doctors thought

that I was having another stroke but after the test and all that they saw

that it wasn’t a stroke. I had peumonia. I knew I a had a cold, coughing

sometime, but I thought it was going away. I didn’t know that it turned

into peumonia. They checked out my heart, it was fine. Then my foot

was still hurting from the fall but they didn’t know that because I was

unconscious at the time when I came in. Then when I had to get ready

to go donstairs I told them that my foot was hurting and I could not

stand on it. So they eventually gave me a boot to put on my foot and so

it would not move around all the time. On Thursday, we had a bible

study in the hospital and everybody came to read their bible with me. It

was the most exciting thing that happen to me. What seemed like a life

time to me, they finally let me go home. My recovery was not from a

stroke, but from peumonia and a fractured foot. But it was a recovery.

Bible Study at Church

When I go to church for bible study and the women pray and we start

bible study I answer their questions about the bible study and I don’t cry

it is very exciting. So now I talk and talk, it is very exciting that I can

answer the questions. I go on Tuesday mornings and again on Thursday

night it is absolutely amazing to me to be able to sit there and answer

the scriptures and not cry and if I do cry its because I’m excited, not

from just crying. My sister in New Jersey helps me with the questions

we have to answer. When I went last week one of the women was

telling me about her mother/in law and she stated that she crys just like I

do. My heart goes out to her because I know that her doctor doesn’t know what

to give to her for this. I have not been able to reach her yet, but when I

do I will tell her to give her doctor the paper I got from my nephew that

explains about the proper medicine she needs to take for it. When I go

the church on sundays I sit there and listen to the service and then go

home. When I come home I fix dinner and get ready to go to bingo.

Hello, this is the first time I'm writing to you. I am 22 years old and I have a 65 years old grandmother, she is the most important person in my life and love her with all my heart. Unfortunately, she had a massive stroke yesterday morning which had affected two thirds of her brain's left hemisphere. The doctor said we still have to wait to see what's gonna happen with her but I don't know much about the recovery process and want to know if she will get better. I am hopping for the best. She is a strong woman and will fight until the end, even though the doctor said she can't understand what we are saying I know she can, she moves her head when we ask her questions and tears when every time she sees us. Please any information about the recovery process and anything that could help me understand what is going to happen now and what I need to do will be very helpful. God Bless you all!

Stroke recovery?

My mother had a stroke 2 weeks ago.
The doctor dose not think she will recover. She can not walk, talk or eat. she can not communicate and dose not seem to understand what i say to her. she seems to be in pain as she is always moaning.
Before the stroke she had diabetes, low blood pressuer, a pace maker, kidney problems, and water retention that causes her to have heart failer so she is on oxygen.
Has anyone else had this happen to their parent and what happened. what dections did you have to make.
